GASCALC.EXE
Copyright (c),1990, H L Hendrick, all rights reserved
GASCALC is a microcomputer gas meter flow volume calculator for
volumes measured with standard flange tap static and differential
reading recorders.
The program utilizes factors and methods recommended in AGA Bul-
letin No. 3 and applies to 2,3,4,6 and 8 inch flange tap standard
meter tubes.
Minimum requirements are a one disk drive microcomputer with 128K
memory and an 8086/8088 processor using MSDOS or PCDOS or com-
patible computer. A printer is optional.
In order to use the program, format a new blank disk and install
your operating system on it. Insert the program disk furnished
by H L Hendrick in drive a: and copy the GASCALC.EXE program to
the new formatted disk in drive b:. Store the program disk fur-
nished by H L Hendrick and use the disk you have created as your
program disk. Insert your program disk in drive a: and boot up.
Enter GASCALC and follow the menu prompts, or copy the program to
your hard disk.
Input to the program is as follows:
Enter tube size:
Enter 2,3,4,6 or 8
Enter orifice size:
Enter the orifice size in a decimal fraction
Enter base pressure:
This entry is the sales contract base pressure and should be
entered as 14.65 or 14.73 or 15.025, etc.
Enter specific gravity:
This entry must be entered in a decimal fraction.
Enter flowing temperature:
Enter the flowing temperature in degrees F
Enter Static pressure:
Enter the Static pressure in psia
Enter differential:
Enter the differential reading in inches
1
After the input is completed, the flow volume is calculated and
all factors used in the calculation are displayed on the screen.
An option is provided to allow changing any of the input values
for a new calculation. If a print out is desired, use the print
option.
A data file my be created and the results of each calculation may
be stored in sequential order. Give each lease or meter data file
a separate name. The files are stored on disk in the ASCll format
and can be incorporated into a word processor file for report
presentation.
